A private excursion to Crete’s idyllic northern coast!

In the morning, you will meet up with your local guide and head off on a beautiful drive to Plaka. There, you’ll embark on a traditional fishing boat, which will take you to the legendary Spinalonga island, which is also known as the Leper Island, as it was a leper colony until 1957. After a tour around the island, you’ll return to Plaka and continue to your next destination: Agios Nikolaos.

Agios Nikolaos is a charming little city, famous for its picturesque scenery and cosmopolitan flair. Take a stroll through the alleys of the city center, enjoy a cup of coffee at the colorful cafes around the lake, shop traditional products at the little shops, and get ready for the final leg of this day trip: Kritsa village.

After a quick visit to the 15th-century church of Panagia Kera, you’ll reach the quaint Kritsa, one of the oldest villages in Crete. Built on the slopes of Kastellos Mountain and surrounded by olive groves, Kritsa boasts a beautiful setting. Wander the village’s narrow streets, shop embroidered items handcrafted by local women, try the traditional cheese pie, chat with the locals… Life doesn’t get more authentically traditional than in Kritsa! In the afternoon, you will be transferred to your hotel.
