Sailing to Kimolos
Kimolos is part of the Cyclades island complex, the most popular cluster of islands in Greece! The Cyclades is one of the best destinations for island-hopping, as the islands are close to each other and ferry schedules are frequent. Kimolos, in particular, can easily be part of an island-hopping that includes nearby islands like Milos, Sifnos, Serifos, Paros, and Naxos.
But, although the Cyclades is a go-to for island-hopping, it is not the best option for sailing/yachting because of the Meltemi winds. These strong northern winds batter the Aegean in July and August, making sailing challenging and even dangerous for inexperienced sailors. If you want to go sailing in the Cyclades, we suggest that you opt for June or September! Read also: Sailing in Greece
