Perissa is a busy and family-friendly beach located 6 kilometers southeast of Fira. It is an organized beach with sunbeds and umbrellas, but you can find some quiet shady spots under the trees. On the beach, you’ll also find cafes, restaurants, and water sports facilities. The trademark of Perissa is an enormous rock that emerges from the water, called Mesa Vouno.

Many restaurants and bars line Perissa beach, so there are plenty of post-swimming dining options. Our suggestion is to opt for a hearty seafood meal paired with one of the signature wine varieties of Santorini. Drinking volcanic wine at a volcanic beach is arguably a unique experience!
